Jim Ballas Has Worked In The DRTV Industry
Direct response television marketing is a form of marketing which has been found to be extremely successful in the last decade or two. Even though you may not immediately recognize the name DRTV, you have seen DRTV advertisements many times before. You know when you’re up late at night and you see a spokesman trying to prove why you should buy his product in a thirty-minute advertisement? These are almost always DRTV advertisements. So what makes it a DRTV ad? When they ask you to respond directly to them, rather than rushing out and buying the product from a third-party, it is DRTV. When you see the telephone number, that is a good indication that it is a direct response television advertisement.
Jim Ballas has worked in the DRTV industry for many years, since first getting involved in the mid 1980s. He was “discovered” as an actor while swimming in a hotel pool as a teenager. This launched a long career in the industry as an actor and model. He developed a comfort in front of the camera that would later benefit his career in direct response television immensely. His efforts in the industry would pay off when he began working with companies on their DRTV marketing. He marketed everything from rare coins to music compilations during that time.
